Bettiful Fine Art at Schönbrunn Christmas Market in Vienna

Schönbrunn Christmas MarketIf you are visiting Vienna during Advent and planning Christmas in Vienna, the Schönbrunn Christmas Market (Weihnachtsmarkt Schönbrunn) is an excellent place to start. It is elegant, calm, and less hectic than many other Vienna Christmas markets. Among the traditional wooden stalls, there is one stand I genuinely recommend if you value sustainability, thoughtful design, and meaningful gifts. This stand is Bettiful Fine Art at Stand 31A.

Here, you do not simply buy a souvenir. Instead, you slow down, look closely, and choose something with intention. This is exactly the kind of experience many visitors look for when exploring Vienna during the festive season.

A Sustainable Slow Luxury Find at the Schönbrunn Weihnachtsmarkt

Sustainable gifts ViennaBettiful Fine Art focuses on conscious gifting. Many postcards, illustrations, and stationery items are printed on apple paper, which is made from apple waste and offers a sustainable alternative to traditional paper.

Apple paper is created from apple waste left over after juice production. Instead of being discarded, the apple pomace is transformed into high-quality paper. This makes the process truly zero waste by excellence.

The apples come from South Tyrol, one of Europe’s largest apple-growing regions. After harvest, the peels and cores are reused and given a second life as beautiful stationery. As a result, the paper feels natural, warm, and meaningful.

Meet the Artist Behind Bettiful Fine Art: Bettina Beikircher

Vienna Christmas MarketBehind the stand you will meet Bettina Beikircher, the lady behind the brand and the creative mind behind every illustration. Bettina designs each piece by hand. She draws inspiration from her travels, her sketchbooks, and everyday moments.

Her style is warm and timeless. Vienna-inspired motifs meet delicate Christmas illustrations and calm design details. Therefore, every card and print feels personal and carefully considered.

It is also worth noting that her stand is officially listed on the Schönbrunn Christmas Market website as Apfelpapier Papeterie by Bettina Beikircher, highlighting her sustainable approach and local craftsmanship:

Good to know before you visit

There is no entry fee to the Schönbrunn Christmas Market, which makes it an easy and relaxed stop, even if you are only passing by.

The market is especially beautiful in the evening, when the lights turn on and the entire setting in front of Schönbrunn Palace feels almost cinematic.
That said, I personally recommend visiting during the week, ideally just as the sun goes down, around 3:30 or 4:00 pm.

At that time, you get the best of both worlds.
The lights are already glowing, the atmosphere feels festive and calm, and the crowds are still manageable.

The Christmas market is open until 06 January 2026, so if you are planning a winter trip to Vienna or simply want to save this recommendation for later, this is definitely a spot worth keeping in mind.

Final verdict

Christmas in ViennaIf you are looking for an Austrian and eco-friendly product during your visit to Vienna, Bettiful Fine Art is one of my top recommendations. The brand beautifully combines sustainability, design, and genuine care.

What I especially appreciate is the personal approach. Bettina takes the time to explain each product and helps you find the option that truly suits what you are looking for. Even when the Christmas Market gets busy, she somehow manages to slow things down and give you the attention you need. That level of care is rare, and it makes the experience feel truly special.

Until Vienna whispers to you again,
